Interior Designer Redefines the "Elvis Buffet"
Is the end of the "All-you-can-eat Elvis Buffet" near? In an improbable marriage between interior design and the traditional Vegas buffet, Las Vegas' famous hotel "The Mirage" is launching a new buffet concept called Cravings. According to Yahoo news, the idea is to combine cutting edge culinary presentation with cutting edge interior design to deliver a buffet experience even Elvis would envy. The Mirage has reportedly hired internationally renowned designer Adam D. Tihany to handle the interior design chores. Tihany is the famous mind behind some of the most highly acclaimed designs including New York's Per Se, Le Cirque 2000, and Jean Georges; Rome's the Aleph and Exedra hotels; London's the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park; and Vegas' own Aureole, with its famous Wine Tower.
But will they serve peanut butter and banana sandwiches?
