Teenagers and Interior Design
Recently, I found an interesting article about how many teenagers have been getting into the interior design craze. They are wanting to give their bedrooms a make-over similar to what they see on T.V. ABC's Family channel has created a show, "Knock First" from the same producers of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy", where teens can do just that. In its up-coming season, it will give teens the chance to get a hand in on decorating their own room. Also, many popular stores and designers are acknowledging teens' desire to create a more grown-up style in their bedrooms compared to what they may have had as a child. Designers are creating desks, chairs, beds, storage units and bedding that will be seen as trendy by teens. These designers are creating furniture and accessories for pre-teens and children as well. The article gives a list of such designers and stores.
