Meet AutoCAD, Your New Best Friend

You want to be a great interior designer, and sure, your brilliant aesthetic sensibilities are part of that. But so is mastering the technical know how successful designers employ on a daily basis. One of the biggies is AutoCAD (CAD = computer-aided drafting, and AutoCAD is the most popular of the computer-aided drafting programs). Whether you're looking to break into interior design for the first time, or simply brushing up on your skills, here are just a few of the reasons you won't want to skip AutoCAD training.
AutoCAD is the Industry Standard
If you're an interior designer, not knowing AutoCAD is a like being an accountant and not knowing Excel. Sure, there was a time before everyone used Excel, and sure, there are alternative programs out there. But employers and clients expect a certain format. And if you want to get and keep an accounting job, better start learning Excel. Even if you plan to skirt the employer issue by setting up your own interior design business, clients today expect to see the kind of plans AutoCAD lets you produce. Reason #2 you can't miss AutoCAD training is all about you. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but once you start designing with AutoCAD you'll never want to go back. You'll be able to whip up beautiful plans with a perfection you can't rival the old-fashioned way. Think Excel again. Would you really want to add all those columns longhand when you can get a computer program to do it for you?Once you know what you're doing, computer-aided drafting is a godsend. The sooner you start your AutoCAD training, the sooner you'll find out just what you've been missing.
