Halloween interior decorating can be loads of fun when you enlist the help of your kids to transform your home into a delightfully ghoulish haunt. Here are some interior decorating tips you and your kids will love.
Carving Without the Mess
Halloween just wouldn't be Halloween without the oozy, gooey, messy fun of pumpkin carving. However, you can increase the fun and limit the mess with a little preparation. Pumpkins, carved, decorated, or just plain, are great Halloween interior decorating props. This easy tip helps keep the carving scene clean.- Limit the pumpkin carvers to the older children and adults in the household.
- Allow little kids to participate by decorating pumpkins with felt markers, stickers, or washable paints.
- Before carving, clear the kitchen table and cover it with plastic sheets (garbage bags work great).
- Be sure you have everything you will need handy. Use a large bowl to collect the pumpkin innards.
Easy Interior Decorating Tips for a Ghastly Entrance
This interior decorating tip will be as much fun to create as it is to display. Take one of those sadly bereft patio planters and place a sizable bare tree branch in the dormant soil. Hang clear, orange, or black mini lights on the branch. Make ghosts by scrunching up a facial tissue, wrapping another over it, fasten an elastic band around the inner ball and let the tails hang. Styrofoam balls painted black hold 8 black pipe cleaner legs to make spiders. Decorating your tree branch with these homemade spooks will bring out the best of the season for all of you.Easy Window Clingers
Finally, here's a Halloween craft tip for the windows. Place an easy Halloween coloring page inside a plastic sandwich bag. Be sure it will be solidly colored, no empty spots. Use fabric paints to color the picture on top of the baggie. Allow several days to dry before using them to decorate your windows.Your kids will love helping decorate the home with these easy Halloween craft tips.
