From the California bungalow, to the Malibu beach house, to the Beverly Hills mansion, Los Angeles, California has given birth to many home styles. The fabulous homes of Los Angeles require just as fabulous decorating. With high demand and clients who have money to spend, L.A. can be a decorator’s dream. A great way to start your interior decorating career in Los Angeles is to attend interior design college in the city.
La Style of L.A.
Los Angeles is a hub for interior design and decorating. A city of 3.8 million, with 13 million people living in the greater Los Angeles area, L.A. is the second largest city in the U.S. There are many furniture stores, custom decorating shops, and vintage stores in the city, providing aspiring designers with ample inspiration and supplies. Another plus is that many design prizes are granted in L.A., some specifically for students, including:- International Interior Design Association Interior Design Awards
